Political Apathy

Political apathy is one of the most disgusting qualities a human can posses. Unfortunately, I was unable to vote in this Canadian election...I am an American. I believe that it is highly disrespectful for those who are empowered to vote not to vote. One may ask, "Who is this disrespectful to?"
Answer: "All those who do not have an option, citizens of ...China, Iran, Cuba...ect."
Steven Harper wants to open up the discussion on gay marriage. Rid the same gender unions the same definition as opposite gender unions: marriage. He wants to change the definition of marriage for same sex couples...he wants the inferior title of "civil union"...quite a regression....for further reading:

My first post on this account

I am digging this course so far. The assignment was interesting. I was unaware of what newsgroups were until I began the assignment.
This weekend I plan on having a bit of fun and catching up on some readings.
